Easter

Well we have officially had 2 of each Holiday since we left Arizona.....and sometimes it seems that we have been here forever and sometimes it seems like just yesterday.

Well it is still cold here, but signs of spring are showing up...almost all of the snow is melted, at least in our yard! The kids are really "itchin" to get outside.

Well as for Easter the kids woke up at about 7:00 and waited patiently at the top of the stairs so that I could get downstairs with the camera. They were so excited...they ran around the house crazy looking for eggs and they did not find them all, we were finding them throughout the house.

The kids looked very handsome....of course I am a bit partial!

Preston preparing for his Mission already

I have to post this really cute story for all of my LDS friends. Last weekend our friends invited us to their church (Lutheran) for a kids Easter Activity, so I took the boys. I thought it was going to be a big Easter Egg Hunt and stuff like that, but it was more like what we would do at church. They had a lot of little classes and activities that talked about Jesus Christ. In one class the teacher was telling the story of Jesus being buried in the tomb and when she was done she asked how do we know that what I am telling you is true. And Preston yells out I know you read it in The Book of Mormon. Well the teacher pretended she didn't hear him and held up the Bible. Well the boys had a good time and when I asked them if they noticed any differences about their church and ours Hayden says, "Yes, they have carpet in their gym."

Arrrrrrrrr Matey Hayden

Well we finally had Hayden's birthday party. I say finally because he was so excited, and now it is over. We did a pirate theme, no particular reason except I found this really cute kit where you could paint your own pirate ships and well that is how it started. We played pin the patch on the pirate, musical islands, we went on a treasure hunt and played pirate pop...we tied balloons to the kids ankles and they chased each other around. They all got sweaty Hot and the next thing I knew they had taken off their shirts. Hayden had a lot of fun...and is looking forward to turning 8 when he can be baptized.
