Boston

Another Bus Trip for the Mellons. This time to Boston. I have been here a few times on Business only and never got the opportunity to explore or sight see. We weren't really sure what we were going to do but headed out for an adventure.

Our first stop was the Aquarium, at first I didn't think that this would be a great place, especially since their is so much history in Boston, but I was wrong and we had a great time. The boys got to handle star fish and sea urchins. We went to the top of the tank during one of the shows and they opened it up for questions. Hayden kept raising his hand and the guy would scan and when nobody else had a hand raised he would call on him again. About the fourth time Hayden asks, "What is the name of the baby turtle?" The guy goes on to explain that this is not a baby turtle and more about size etc. Hayden immediately raises his hand again...finally he calls on him one more time and Hayden says, "You still didn't answer my last question, what is the turtles name?" Well the name is Scoop.

We then went over to Quincy Market, this was a huge mall, we had lunch their, it was crazy...five different stops. We then went over to a park and watched the harbor while we planned our next move.

We decided to go ahead and walk the freedom trail. It was interesting for me. A bit of a hard walk with 4 kids and a broken toe....but still fun we make it to the USS Constitution, Bunker Hill was not too far away but we could easily see the monument and at that point it was enough for us.

We began our descent....tired, draggin and took the kids to get icecream. We walked in the shop and the flavors looked so yummy and they had all these crazy dipped cones. So we start to order and the guys says, "ya know, those cost extra"...I said fine, and then looked the other way to the price board.....and then to the notice that says cash only. We begin to stress. I dig through everything I can...$32.00 later for 6 cones. WOW!

Well we ended back up at the museum and the headed for the bus. It was a good trip but we were exhausted.
